OVpay presents a new method of checking in and out when using public transportation. The accompanying app provides a convenient way to track your trips and manage expenses effortlessly. Through the app, users can monitor their check-in/check-out status in real time, correct any forgotten actions, and personalize their passes with unique colors and text. These features eliminate the need for cumbersome searches, ensuring a seamless experience. Furthermore, ongoing enhancements are planned to add valuable functions based on user feedback.

• Real-time check-in/out status viewing during trips.
• Ability to rectify missed check-ins or check-outs via the app.
• Access to a detailed overview of past journeys and travel expenses for up to 18 months.
• Creation of expense claims with the option to receive them as PDFs in your email.
• Customization of passes by assigning colors and text for easy identification.

To get started with OVpay:

1. Initiate a trip on a train, bus, tram, or metro.
2. Select your preferred check-in/out method: debit card, credit card, or mobile.
3. If you have used public transport in the Netherlands, download the app.
4. Create an account to unlock all app features with guided setup instructions.
5. After making your first trip and setting up your check-in/out preference, you can utilize all functionalities within the app.

OVpay is a collaborative effort among major transportation providers in the Netherlands: Arriva, Connexxion, EBS, GVB, HTM, Keolis, NS, Qbuzz, RET, and Transdev in partnership with Dutch banks. The app is an integral part of OVpay's initiative, enabling users to check in and out using their debit cards, credit cards, or mobile phones alongside their 'OV-chipkaart'.
